Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist to join our environmental testing laboratory in the Massachusetts area. You will perform hands-on analysis and help ensure the integrity of environmental data that supports environmental health and safety initiatives.

You will operate GC-MS, interpret results, and document procedures while maintaining high-quality records. Train opportunities and a stable, long-term career in a regulated lab environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM related degrees; training provided if needed.
• Must have 8 chemistry credit hours with labs.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment with PPE and odor considerations.

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments such as GC-MS to analyze environmental samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality laboratory records
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment
