Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist to join our environmental testing lab in Worcester. You will perform hands-on analysis, using GC-MS and other established chemistry methods to identify environmental contaminants and ensure data integrity that informs communities and ecosystems.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or STEM, with 8 chemistry lab credit hours, and the ability to work in a laboratory setting while using required PPE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or STEM fields
• 8 chemistry credit hours with labs
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment and use PPE

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on analysis in our environmental testing laboratory using established chemistry methods
• Operate and maintain instruments, including GC-MS, to identify environmental contaminants
• Review and interpret results from sample analyses
• Document procedures, observations, and results clearly to keep high-quality records
