Job summary

Pace Analytical Services in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Scientist to perform hands-on analysis in our environmental testing laboratory, ensuring integrity and accuracy of data that impacts communities and ecosystems.

The role involves operating GC-MS and other instruments, interpreting results, documenting procedures, and maintaining lab equipment. We offer a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits program and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM related degrees or equivalent training/experience.
• Must have 8 chemistry credit hours with labs.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, standing for extended periods, around strong odors, and wearing PPE provided by Pace.

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments such as GC-MS to analyze environmental samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
