Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC invites applications for an Associate Graduate Engineer. This entry-level role designs engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects, offering exposure to electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges from initiation to closeout.

The position supports multiple offices nationwide, including San Antonio, with hands-on experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and Office365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• EIT Certification (preferred)
• 0–2 years of relevant experience
• US driver's license and US work authorization
• Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams
• Strong technology skills and understanding of Office365
• Working knowledge of 2D CAD software (AutoCAD or similar)
• Understanding of remote communication software
• Ability to come up to speed on in-process projects and hit milestones
• Experience collaborating with teams on larger projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Persistence and adaptability in a dynamic team

Responsibilities

• Design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects
• Provide creative solutions to electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges
• Own all design lifecycle phases from initiation through closeout
• Prepare detailed engineering documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS
• Analyze information from surveys, atlas data, field sketches and datasheets
• Independently manage time to meet project milestones
• Perform field walkdowns with staff, clients, authorities and partners
• Travel typically under 25%
