Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC seeks an Associate Graduate Engineer to design systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects. You will contribute to electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges, developing creative solutions across the design lifecycle.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree, have up to 2 years of experience, and possess CAD/GIS skills alongside teamwork and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification is preferred.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• US driver's license and US work authorization.
• Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong technology skills and experience with Office365.
• Working knowledge of 2D CAD software (AutoCAD or similar).
• Understanding of remote communication software.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects.
• Deploy creative solutions for electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges.
• Own all design lifecycle phases from initiation through closeout.
• Prepare detailed engineering documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and enterprise platforms.
• Analyze topo surveys, utility atlas data, field sketches, and datasheets.
• Manage time and schedule to achieve milestones.
• Perform field walkdowns with staff, clients, and partners.
• Travel as needed, typically less than 25%.
