Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC in Chicago, IL is seeking an Associate Graduate Engineer to design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects. You will gain exposure to the full design lifecycle from initiation to construction closeout and contribute to multiple engineering disciplines.

You will collaborate with seasoned professionals, learn AutoCAD, MicroStation and GIS tools, and develop practical solutions for real-world utility challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT Certification preferred.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects.
• Deploy solutions for electrical, structural, civil and construction challenges.
• Own all phases of the design lifecycle from initiation through closeout.
• Prepare engineering documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS and related tools.
• Analyze data from surveys, atlas information and manufacturer datasheets.
• Manage time to achieve project milestones.
• Conduct field walkdowns with stakeholders and partners.
• Travel as needed, typically less than 25%.
