Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC seeks an Associate Graduate Engineer for an entry-level design role supporting overhead and subsurface utility projects. You will contribute to electrical, structural, civil, and construction-focused designs across lifecycle stages from initiation to closeout.

The position offers exposure to AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and asset-management platforms, with mentoring and professional development. A ABET-accredited B.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT Certification (preferred).
• 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• US driver's license and US work authorization.
• Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong technology skills and Office365 knowledge.
• 2D CAD software experience (AutoCAD or similar).
• Familiarity with remote communication tools.
• Ability to quickly come up to speed on in-process projects.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects.
• Develop creative solutions for electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges.
• Own all phases of the design lifecycle from initiation to closeout.
• Prepare engineering and construction documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and asset management platforms.
• Analyze topo data, utility atlas records, field sketches, and datasheets.
• Manage time and schedule to hit project milestones.
• Conduct field walkdowns with staff, clients, and partners.
• Travel as needed, typically less than 25%.
