Job summary

The position provides exposure to all phases of the design lifecycle from initiation to closeout, with office locations in Chicago, IL. Mentorship, training, and hands-on experience with industry-standard tools are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification preferred.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• US driver’s license and work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects.
• Develop creative solutions to electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges.
• Own all phases of the design lifecycle from initiation through closeout.
• Prepare detailed engineering documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and asset management platforms.
• Analyze topographic surveys, utility atlas data, field sketches, and datasheets.
• Manage time and project milestones independently.
• Conduct field walkdowns with stakeholders and partners.
• Travel up to 25%.
