Job summary

EDG Inc. in Houston is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer I to join our Oil and Gas engineering team. You will gain hands-on experience by performing routine tasks under close supervision and using well-defined standards.

You will assist in developing power distribution, control systems, and electrical equipment specifications, while collaborating with design and field teams through construction and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering (Dec 2026 or May 2027 graduates eligible).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical power generation, distribution, protection, and control systems with the design team.
• Prepare power/control philosophies and drawings.
• Create equipment specifications and datasheets for electrical systems and components.
• Prepare electrical models using ETAP/EDSA/SKM.
• Develop electrical load lists and construction drawings for electrical buildings and facilities.
• Support field engineering during construction, testing and commissioning.
