Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services seeks an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer / Project Engineer to join our Arlington or Houston offices. hybrid role coordinating electrical and instrumentation deliverables through design, construction, and startup.

You will develop I&E deliverables, define scope, schedule and budget, review vendor drawings, and support field implementation while working with clients and cross-discipline teams throughout project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, including proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
• This is a fully office-based position at our Arlington or Houston, Texas location.
• Preferred, but not required: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas
• Preferred, but not required: experience in a project engineering or technical lead role, including vendor coordination and construction support

• Instrument Loop Diagrams (ILDs)
• Instrument Installation Details
• Instrument Location and Cable/Conduit Routing Plans
• Control System I/O Lists and Panel Layout Drawings
• Control Narratives and Cause & Effect Diagrams
• Flow Measurement and Custody Transfer Metering Design
• Instrument Selection for Hazardous (Classified) Locations
• Provide independent technical review of project PFDs and P&IDs, with attention to instrumentation tagging and control philosophy
• PROJECT ENGINEERING & DELIVERABLE MANAGEMENT: Serve as Project Engineer for assigned projects, with scope, schedule, budget, and coordination across engineering disciplines
