Job summary

ZTR Control Systems is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer – Electrical based near Little Rock, AR, with responsibilities including PLC programming, troubleshooting, and field deployments of ZTR equipment. You will travel to customer sites for commissioning and installation, provide on-site training, and support sales and projects.

Based in the United States, you will report to the Technical Service Manager in London, Ontario, and work in a role that requires travel up to 25% domestically

Qualifications

• Mandatory Requirement: Two year or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering degree
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience
• Experienced with PLCs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for a variety of audiences
• Ability to work autonomously at customer sites and manage project scope & cost
• Exceptional organizational and data entry skills required for related administrative tasks
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% to customer sites for on-site commissioning and/or installation of ZTR equipment

Responsibilities

• Program, configure and troubleshoot ZTR locomotive operation, products, and solutions
• Provide excellent Customer Service and Support in both field and telephone support
• Travel to customer sites for commissioning & installation of ZTR equipment
• Provide on-site technical training and presentations to customers
• Perform sales support and project management tasks as assigned
