Job summary

ZTR LLC in Little Rock, Arkansas is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer – Electrical to join our support team. You will troubleshoot PLC-based solutions, configure and commission equipment at customer sites, and provide on-site technical training.

The role requires two years plus of electrical engineering experience, PLC familiarity, strong communication, and ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally. You will report to the Technical Service Manager in London, Ontario.

Qualifications

• Two year or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering degree.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experienced with PLCs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for a variety of audiences.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% to customer sites for on-site commissioning and/or installation of ZTR equipment.

What You’ll be Doing

As the Junior Field Service Engineer – Electrical you will be joining our talented support team and providing quality technical support to our customers by troubleshooting PLC based solutions, and occasionally travelling to our customer sites to perform commissioning and installation of our equipment.

This role is based in the United States, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, and reports directly to the Technical Service Manager in London, Ontario, Canada.

Due to the nature of work, the successful candidate will be required to live in close proximity to either Little Rock, AR.

As a Junior Field Service Engineer - Electrical, you will:

• Program, configure and troubleshoot ZTR locomotive operation, products, and solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

• Mandatory Requirement: Two year or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering degree
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience
• Experienced with PLCs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for a variety of audiences
• Ability to work autonomously at customer sites and manage project scope & cost
• Exceptional organizational and data entry skills required for related administrative tasks
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% to customer sites for on-site commissioning and/or installation of ZTR equipment
