Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to contribute to design and engineering tasks for substation projects under supervision. You will create wiring diagrams, material lists, and design documents while learning NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

Work will include hands-on site exposure, collaboration with project teams, and travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain EIT certificate within one year of hire is required.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create design documents, drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials for substation projects under supervision.
• Perform engineering calculations such as load flow, short circuit, and relay coordination under supervision.
• Learn and apply engineering application software and standards (NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI) under supervision.
• Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge and training in substation construction and design.
• Travel as required by projects and assignments.
