Job summary

Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power Group seeks an Electrical Engineer I to design and modernize electrical systems for existing nuclear plants, SMRs, and advanced reactors. You will work with experienced engineers to perform power system analyses and develop safety-related designs, while engaging in training and professional development.

You will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and participate in site visits and licensing activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical power concepts and power systems analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering calculations and design tasks for large nuclear power stations.
• Perform power systems analysis and modeling using ETAP.
• Assist with selection and integration of major electrical power equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with client stakeholders.
• Translate concepts into detailed drawings with designers and drafters.
• Gain exposure to project schedules, budgets, and licensure processes.
• Support onsite walkdowns, testing activities, and outages.
