Job summary

Whiting-Turner is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer (Finance) to assist in managing construction project aspects, coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. You will help with estimating, cost tracking, and documenting costs, change orders, and specifications.

The role reports to a project manager or superintendent and includes training across safety regulations and scheduling software, with opportunities to learn general construction processes and technical documentation

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications include a BS in an engineering discipline, technology or construction management.
• Knowledge of engineering principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subs; direct trades as needed.
• Assist in managing estimating and bidding processes and tracking costs to manage the project budget.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and change orders; resolve design issues.
• Provide field support to ensure contract compliance and safety on site.
