Job summary

Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer (Finance) to support project managers and superintendents on construction sites. You will assist in coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, track costs, help manage the project budget, and document design changes and field issues.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, reviewing change orders, assisting in scheduling, and helping ensure quality and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology or Construction Management.
• Knowledge of engineering principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors and subcontractors.
• Assist in coordinating project schedules and tracking costs to manage the project budget.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals and change orders.
• Provide field support to ensure contract compliance and quality on site.
• Draft and document contracts, purchase orders, and project documentation.
