Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an Entry Level Engineer (Finance) to join our construction team in a role reporting to a Project Manager or Superintendent. You will assist in coordinating work, tracking costs, and resolving design issues on active projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, managing change orders, and supporting procurement and scheduling efforts to ensure on-time completion to contract specifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety regulations, ANSI standards, local/state building codes, and environmental codes.
• Understanding of general construction processes and on-site work.
• Proficiency with scheduling software such as MS Project, Suretrak or Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project stakeholders including owners, architects and subcontractors.
• Assist in estimating, bidding, and tracking costs to manage project budgets.
• Review drawings, specifications and change orders for clarity and accuracy.
• Support field teams to ensure contract compliance and quality control.
• Document project progress, schedules and milestones for reporting.
