Job summary

Renasant Bank is seeking a SBLU Credit Underwriter I to support the Small Business Lending Unit with fundamental credit and financial analysis. You will review business and personal financials, prepare spreads, model cash flows, and present findings to the SBLU.

Responsibilities include managing the workflow, loading information in systems, and assisting loan officers to qualify loans. A bachelor’s in finance or related field is preferred along with 1+ year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to learn new systems, processes and policies.
• Must plan and prioritize to underwrite 2+ credits per day.

Responsibilities

• Analyze noncomplex SBLU credits with loan amounts typically less than $100M.
• Prepare financial spreads and modeling.
• Determine need for additional information and complete investigation.
• Prepare written summaries and present credit opinions to SBLU.
• Maintain pipeline workflow and ensure high-quality production.
