Job summary

WCF Insurance seeks a Commercial Claims Assistant at our Sandy, Utah headquarters. This full-time, non-exempt role serves as the first point of contact for new commercial claims, gathering information, coordinating basic repairs or estimates, and supporting the claims team under the Director of Commercial Auto Claims.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, customer service experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with computers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
• At least two years of customer service experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software.
• Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review and process incoming claims, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Provide prompt and courteous telephone support to callers.
• Support claims adjusters by making initial contact with customers and involved parties.
• Investigate claims by contacting claimants, witnesses, or medical providers for statements.
• Manage minor claims and resolve them promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of all claims activities and communications.
• Assist with improvements to claims processes and procedures.
• Coordinate with repair professionals to obtain estimates and ensure quality repairs.
• Direct complex claims to the appropriate claims adjuster.
• Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
