This position involves speaking with customers, gathering and documenting claim information, managing minor claims, and coordinating basic repairs or estimates, while referring more complex claims to the appropriate adjusters.This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with customer service experience who are interested in starting a career in claims or learning more about the commercial insurance industry.Time & LocationThis is a full-time, hourly position that works at WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters as a member of the Commercial Auto Claims team.CompensationThe hourly pay rate for this position is $21.00 to $24.00 based upon skills and experience.ResponsibilitiesReview and process incoming claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.Provide prompt and courteous telephone support, making every effort to assist the caller.Support claims adjusters by making initial contact with customers and other involved parties.In certain cases, investigate claims by contacting claimants, witnesses, or medical providers to take initial statements or gather necessary information.Manage minor claims, ensuring they are resolved promptly and efficiently.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activities.Assist with improvements to claims processes and procedures.Coordinate with repair professionals to obtain estimates and ensure quality repairs.Direct complex claims to the appropriate claims adjuster.Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external contacts.QualificationsHigh school diploma required.
