Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Los Angeles, CA. This role supports planning, design, and permitting of civil, land development, and infrastructure projects for mixed-use developments and large sites.

You will assist with preparing engineering documents, using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and evaluating soils and hydrology in project design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; 0–2 years of work-related experience.
• EIT Certification or current FE exam registration preferred.
• Internship or professional experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, stormwater, drainage, and soils.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents (reports, specs, plans, schedules, cost estimates) using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related tools.
• Use reports, maps, drawings, and geotechnical data to assess soils, terrain, hydrology and topography for project design.
• Suggest new approaches to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Apply engineering principles and advanced mathematics to project tasks.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other duties as requested.
