Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join its Pittsburgh, PA team. You will assist in planning, design, and permitting of civil and land development projects, gaining hands‑on experience across mixed‑use, residential, and educational settings.

The role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 0–2 years of work‑related experience preferred.
• EIT certification or FE registration preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents (reports, plans, schedules, cost estimates) using engineering software.
• Assess soil, terrain, hydrological data and geologic information for site planning.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute ideas to improve efficiency.
