Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Senior Staff Civil Engineer to join our Southern California team. You will contribute to the planning, design, and permitting of land development and infrastructure projects, with exposure to mixed-use, education, and federal sites.

In this role you will work with AutoCAD and Civil 3D to prepare plans and reports, assess soil and hydrology, and coordinate with permitting authorities while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification; PE certification preferred.
• 3+ years of site/civil design experience including site planning, grading, storm water management, drainage, and soil erosion.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans for projects using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
• Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data and their impact on the planning and design of projects.
• Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other job duties as requested.
