Job summary

Langan is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our New York area team in New York, White Plains, or Melville. You will assist in planning, design, and permitting of civil, land development and infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience across mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential, education, and federal programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of work experience is typical for entry level.
• EIT Certification or FE exam registration is preferred.
• Internship or professional experience in site/civil design is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical, multitasking and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; availability Monday–Friday with possible evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with preparing and modifying engineering documents including reports, plans, specifications, schedules and cost estimates using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Utilize reports, maps, drawings and topographic data to inform planning and design decisions.
• Suggest new approaches to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Apply engineering principles and mathematics to project work.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments; perform other duties as requested.
