Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join the Infrastructure Design team in support of a licensed Civil Engineer.

You will learn company standards, codes, and practice while contributing to design, calculations, plans, and specifications for public infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes QA/QC, collaboration with agencies, and preparation of drawings and reports using industry software.

Qualifications

• Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work
• Provide technical, day-to-day design support to the Project Engineer
• Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations
• Prepare drawings and visual aids
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Open Roads, HEC RAS or related software
• Follow QA/QC procedures and engineering standards
• Learn engineering processes and apply to operating systems
• Coordinate with agency staff and internal support teams
• Develop calculations in Excel, reports and letters in Word, and presentations in PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work

• Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations
• Prepare drawings and visual aids
• Prepare exhibits and design drawings using listed software
• Observe construction activities and learn construction methods
