Job summary

Bohler Engineering Group in Ridgewood, NJ is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer (Land Development) to join our team and grow through hands-on experience on real land development projects. You will work with engineers, designers, and PMs on site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater management.

You will use AutoCAD Civil 3D to draft site layouts, learn through mentoring, and contribute to projects across commercial, residential, and mixed-use markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0-1+ years of residential, commercial, or industrial site design and permitting experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (training provided if not proficient)
• EIT certification is helpful but not required
• Strong communication and a collaborative approach to teamwork

Responsibilities

• Work on land development projects including site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater management.
• Learn each stage of site design from concept through construction with mentors.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create site layouts, grading plans, and utility designs.
• Research and interpret design manuals, zoning ordinances, and jurisdictional regulations.
• Review regulatory comments and assist with project redesigns as needed.
• Support the preparation of stormwater management reports and construction submittals.
• Attend site visits and coordinate with project teams and stakeholders.
• Engage in professional development programs through Bohler’s Learning & Development team.
