Job summary

Bohler Engineering Group's Albany, NY office is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer (Land Development) who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to real land development projects, including site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater management.

You’ll work with experienced engineers and mentors from concept through construction, using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and participate in Bohler’s Learning & Development programs to advance your career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• 0–1+ years of residential, commercial, or industrial site design and permitting experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (training provided if not yet proficient)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
• Motivation to take initiative and contribute to shared goals
• EIT certification is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Work on land development projects including site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater management.
• Partner with experienced engineers and mentors to learn every stage of site design from concept through construction.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create site layouts, grading plans, and utility designs.
• Research and interpret design manuals, zoning ordinances, and jurisdictional regulations.
• Review regulatory comments and assist with project redesigns as needed.
• Support the preparation of stormwater management reports and construction submittals.
• Participate in Bohler’s Learning & Development programs.
• Attend site visits to observe field conditions and coordinate with project teams.
• Engage in civic, professional, and business organizations to build your network.
• Perform other responsibilities in accordance with company policies and standards
