Job summary

SRF Consulting Group, Inc. seeks an Entry Level Civil Drainage Engineer to join our Civil Drainage Group in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area (or Fargo, ND). You will work on urban design and drainage projects, performing design calculations, cost estimates and plan production.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, FE exam completion or within six months, and a valid driver's license; related internship experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school.
• Successful completion of the FE exam or ability to take the FE exam within six months of employment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Related internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design calculations, cost estimates and plan production.
• Occasional field walks and onsite construction observations may require local travel.
• Roadway drainage system layout and design, including storm sewer and culvert design.
• Design of Best Management Practices (BMPs) such as wet ponds, infiltration basins, filtration ditches.
• Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling.
• Design of erosion control and sediment management BMPs.
• Stormwater permitting.
• Ability to engage in a positive work environment with an open mind to learning new skills and software(s) associated with typical project requirements.
• Be an active participant on a collaborative design team with other groups/disciplines within SRF.
• Exhibit quality day-to-day work in line with SRF's quality management plan.
• Additional duties as assigned.
