SRF Consulting Group, Inc. invites you to join our Water Resources team as an internship in Minneapolis or St. Paul, MN.

You will work with experienced project engineers on a range of water resources projects and gain hands-on design experience in drainage, BMPs, and green infrastructure. This internship provides exposure to hydrology and hydraulic modeling, site design, and feasibility studies, with potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or biosystems engineering with a hydrology or water resources emphasis, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with roadway drainage system layout and design, including BMPs.
• Assist with site design, including BMP design, modeling, and LID practices.
• Assist with the design of stormwater reuse systems, green infrastructure, and other sustainable stormwater management systems.
• Assist with surface water management planning, feasibility studies, and assessments.
• Assist with Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling.
• Assist with Hydraulic analysis related to bridge, culvert, channel, and revetment design.
• Assist with bioengineering design relating to surface water conveyance systems such as stream bank stabilization and restoration as well as wetland creation and restoration.
• Assist with design of erosion control and sediment management BMPs.
• Assist with wetland and floodplain mitigation analysis and permitting.
• Additional duties as assigned.
