SRF Consulting Group, Inc. is offering a Water Resources internship based in Minneapolis, MN or St. Paul, MN.

The role provides hands-on experience with experienced project engineers on a variety of water resources projects, with a potential pathway to full-time employment after graduation. The intern will support drainage design, site design, BMPs, stormwater systems, and hydrologic/ hydraulic modeling while developing professional skills and contributing to meaningful community-centered

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or Biosystems Engineering with a hydrology or water resources emphasis, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with roadway drainage system layout and design, including new and retrofit systems and design of Best Management Practices (BMPs).
• Assist with site design, including BMP design, modeling, and Low Impact Development (LID) practices.
• Assist with the design of stormwater reuse systems, green infrastructure, and other sustainable stormwater management systems.
• Assist with surface water management planning, feasibility studies, and assessments.
• Assist with Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling.
• Assist with Hydraulic analysis related to bridge, culvert, channel, and revetment design.
• Assist with bioengineering design relating to surface water conveyance systems such as stream bank stabilization and restoration as well as wetland creation and restoration.
• Assist with design of erosion control and sediment management BMPs.
• Assist with wetland and floodplain mitigation analysis and permitting.
• Additional duties as assigned.
