Job summary

SRF Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking an entry level engineer to join our Water Resources team in Madison, WI (also Minneapolis/St. Paul).

You will work with project engineers on design, modeling, and analysis for federal, state, and local clients, applying water resources tools to support sustainable drainage and infrastructure. You earned a bachelor's degree in Civil or Biosystems Engineering with a hydrology focus and can obtain EIT within six months.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or Biosystems Engineering with a hydrology or water resources emphasis.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling applications (e.g., SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS) and related software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Roadway drainage system layout and design, including BMPs.
• Site design, including BMP design, modeling, and Low Impact Development (LID) practices.
• Design of stormwater reuse systems, green infrastructure, and other sustainable stormwater management systems.
• Surface water management planning, feasibility studies, and assessments.
• Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling.
• Hydraulic analysis related to bridges, culverts, channels, and revetment design.
• Bioengineering design for surface water conveyance, stream bank stabilization, and wetland restoration.
• Erosion control and sediment management BMPs.
• Wetland and floodplain mitigation analysis and permitting.
• Water resources components of environmental documents (EA, EAW, EIS).
• Additional duties as assigned.
