Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 credits in sociology/social sciences and one year of experience as County Social Services Aide 3 or similar paraprofessional case management functions.

Responsibilities

• Client Support: Assist children and families toward improved daily stability
• Needs Evaluation: Identify concerns and determine appropriate services
• Resource Guidance: Help clients navigate community programs and complete forms
• Policy Application: Apply laws and regulations to support resolutions
• Team Collaboration: Work with coworkers to reach positive results for children and families

Education

Two years of college credits in sociology/social sciences

Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology/social sciences

Equivalent combination incl. 12 credits in social sciences and 1 year paraprofessional case management

Eligible within two months of graduation
