WSP is seeking an Early Career - Building Technology Systems professional to join our Arlington, VA office. This role is in-office with a long-term hybrid structure, offering opportunities to work on local and international projects.

You will support design, development and testing of smart building technologies, collaborate with owners, architects and engineers, and contribute to documentation and compliance efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field.
• 0–1 years of relevant post-education experience.
• Familiarity with smart building design and technology concepts.
• Knowledge of installation laws, codes and compliance practices.
• Proficient communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and analysis from site, blueprints and reports.
• Support site condition reviews to ensure conformance with rules and permits.
• Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements and load calculations.
• Support design and integration of smart building technologies and AV/telecom systems.
• Produce documentation and specifications using drawings, diagrams and spreadsheets.
