WSP USA in Arlington, Virginia seeks a Building Technology Systems-Senior Consultant for a full-time role. You will design telecommunications, electronic safety and security, and healthcare systems for building projects and coordinate with owners, architects, and contractors.

You will manage design narratives and construction documents, lead meetings with the design team and clients, and support business development to win new work while ensuring schedules and budgets are met in compliance with

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in engineering or equivalent with related work experience designing technology systems for buildings.
• 5-7 years’ experience actively designing high-performance building technology systems in the AEC industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for presenting design information to clients.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and typical design coordination tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide designs for telecommunications, electronic safety & security, and healthcare systems for buildings.
• Contribute as part of a larger team to deliver projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with clients to gather and document system requirements and design needs.
• Create design narratives and well-coordinated construction documents.
• Manage project resources to complete deliverables on time and within budget.
• Coordinate, host, and participate in project meetings with design teams and clients.
• Assist in construction meetings, review submittals and RFIs, and perform site surveys.
