Job summary

WSP is seeking a Building Technology Systems – Intermediate Consultant to join our Houston, TX team, supporting projects across multiple offices. You will participate in the full project cycle from design through construction close-out, collaborating with owners, architects, engineers and vendors to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year degree (B.S. in engineering preferred) or equivalent combination of technical certification and related work experience.
• 1-3 years’ experience actively designing Security and Telecommunications systems in the AEC consulting/engineering industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting design information to clients.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead consultant in all aspects of the project delivery process (Drawings, meetings, specs).
• Provide designs for Telecommunications and Electronic Safety & Security systems.
• Coordinate with clients to document system and design requirements.
• Create design narratives and construction documents (Drawings and CSI Specifications).
• Budget fee responsibility on assigned projects.
