Job summary

Reworld Waste in Massachusetts is seeking an Assistant Auxiliary Operator to monitor the facility fuel system under the Boiler Shift Supervisor. You will help maintain safe, efficient boiler operation and support outages.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, adherence to LOTO procedures, and proactive firefighting support, with a focus on reliability and team safety. High school diploma and technical training preferred; MA fireman license preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training preferred.
• Massachusetts 2nd Fireman’s License preferred.
• Valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fuel distribution system.
• Monitor fire protection system including assisting in fire prevention and extinguishment of incipient fires.
• Performs lock-out tag-out (LOTO) on various systems as required.
• Boiler outage duties: pressure washing, unplug hoppers and conveyors, internal boiler cleaning, tipping valve tune ups and repairs and expansion joint repairs and replacement.
• Drag chain shaft and flight deragging.
• Performs maintenance on equipment and assists maintenance during outages.
• General housekeeping.
