Job summary

General Dynamics - IT (GDIT) is seeking a Junior Biostatistician to support data engineering, analytics, and decision-support activities across programs. You will prepare datasets, develop data pipelines, and contribute to dashboards and reporting tools used in readiness analytics.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a quantitative field with 1–2 years' experience, strong SQL Server and Databricks skills, and proficiency in Python or R. Security clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1–2 years in quantitative science, social science or related discipline.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Access.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server (SQL/T-SQL).
• Experience with Databricks / PySpark or similar systems.
• Foundational Python or R for analysis and ML workflows.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling, data quality checks and version control.
• Experience building dashboards in Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Acquire, integrate, and prepare data from multiple sources for analytics and reporting.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks.
• Develop analysis-ready datasets with quality, lineage and repeatability.
• Create dashboards and analytical products using Power BI.
• Support unstructured data analysis with NLP basics and LLM concepts.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders and document methodologies.
