Job summary

CGS is seeking a Data Engineer to support a growing Data Analytics and BI platform for federal customers. You will build data pipelines, automate ingestion, and collaborate in an Agile environment, focusing on reliability and scalable data solutions.

The role requires 7+ years IT experience with large data sets, ETL proficiency, and strong SQL/Python skills, in a DC-area setting. On-site position with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT experience with large data sets and models.
• Experience building data pipelines from diverse sources.
• ETL development and validation experience.
• Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, SAS.
• Strong knowledge of big data tools and storage technologies.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Version control with Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end data pipelines and provisioning for data consumers.
• Collaborate as part of an Agile/Scrum team.
• Write reliable data extraction and processing code.
• Automate data ingestion processes across sources.
• Advocate lean-agile engineering with CI/CD and testing.
• Document evolving requirements with engineers.
