Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a data analyst/engineer to develop advanced data analytics for operations and readiness. You will lead ETL/ELT pipelines, build KPI metrics, and deliver analytics products via Power BI.

Collaboration across projects and stakeholders is essential as you translate mission needs into data requirements. The role requires 5–7 years of experience with SQL, Databricks, PySpark, and Power BI, with exposure to NLP/LLMs and low-code integration through Power Apps/Automate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Strong SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL querying and relational schemas.
• Hands-on Databricks or Spark experience, preferably PySpark.
• Foundational Python or R for analysis and ML workflows.
• Experience building visual analytics with Power BI and DAX.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data quality checks.
• Familiarity with NLP, LLMs, and data requirements for ML tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy advanced methods to analyze data for insights.
• Serve as point of contact for data usage across projects and partners.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and provide operational insights.
• Create and maintain metrics, functions, and scripts as KPIs.
• Design ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks.
• Develop curated datasets with quality, lineage, and repeatability.
• Create dashboards and analytics products using Power BI.
• Integrate data products into Power Apps and Power Automate workflows.
• Prepare unstructured data and explore NLP/LLM use cases.
• Document data sources, transformations, and methodologies.
