Job summary

Maximus is seeking a data analyst to develop and deploy advanced methods for analyzing operational data and delivering actionable insights for stakeholders and partners. You will serve as the primary data usage contact across projects and guide partners on performance improvements.

The role involves building ETL/ELT pipelines with SQL Server and Databricks, creating KPI-driven analytics, and delivering Power BI dashboards. 5–7 years of experience and a related bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Access.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL.
• Hands-on Databricks and Apache Spark, preferably PySpark.
• Foundational programming skills in Python or R.
• Understanding ETL/ELT, data modeling basics, data quality checks, reproducible pipelines, and version control.
• Experience building visual analytics with Power BI (reports, datasets/semantic models, DAX).
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate for workflow integration.
• Basic familiarity with NLP and Large Language Models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy advanced methods to analyze operational data and derive actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Serve as point of contact for data usage across projects and guide operational partners on product performance.
• Analyze extracted data and provide trends and insights around operations and project data.
• Develop and implement new KPIs, metrics, and scripts.
• Code to segment populations from large datasets and output files per specs.
• Create and maintain documentation and artifacts for transparency.
• Support ad hoc tool development for analytical areas.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks.
