Job summary

Maximus seeks a Junior Biostatistician to transform raw data into insights using statistical methods, data mining, and machine learning. You will build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with SQL Server and Databricks, develop dashboards in Power BI, and prepare data for AI-enabled insights across military readiness applications.

You will work on data quality, reproducible transformations, and documentation, while exploring NLP/LLM use cases and integrating data products with low-code platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1–2 years in quantitative science or related discipline preferred (experience may substitute).
• 5–7 years of relevant professional experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods to analyze operational data and provide actionable insights.
• Serve as data and analytics lead across multiple projects and guide product performance.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and deliver KPIs for operations.
• Design and implement new metrics, functions, and scripts as needed.
• Code to segment populations, ensure data quality, and output files per specs.
• Create and maintain documentation and artifacts.
• Develop ad hoc tools to support analytics across teams.
• Learn emerging technologies to support company initiatives.
• Facilitate team communication and strategic planning.
• Engage in project management activities.
