Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Junior Biostatistician to collect, engineer, process, and analyze data supporting military readiness and operational planning. The role emphasizes building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks, applying statistical methods, and creating visual analytics with Power BI. Familiarity with NLP, LLMs, and Microsoft Power Platform is beneficial.

U.S. citizenship and security clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark).
• Working knowledge of SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL.
• Experience building visual analytics with Power BI.
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Basic familiarity with NLP and Large Language Models.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders and translate needs into data requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy methods to analyze operational data and derive actionable insights.
• Serve as data contact across projects and guide partners on performance improvements.
• Analyze extracted data to identify trends and provide insights on operations and project data.
• Develop and implement new metrics and KPIs as needed.
• Code to segment populations from large datasets and ensure data accuracy.
• Create and maintain documentation and artifacts for transparency.
