Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Biostatistician to lead advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and NLP-enabled capabilities to boost mission readiness. You will design scalable data pipelines using SQL Server, Databricks, and Apache Spark, integrate structured and unstructured data, and translate needs into actionable intelligence.

You will provide expert consultation, develop data quality controls, and deliver Power BI dashboards and decision-support tools to stakeholders and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of experience.
• Master’s or doctoral degree with five years in quantitative science.
• Strong Python or R for analytics and data manipulation with good software practices.
• Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with SQL Server.
• Experience using Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark).
• Experience producing decision-quality visualization with Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize analytics, including predictive modeling and ML methods.
• Architect scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and datasets using SQL Server, Databricks, Spark.
• Translate operational needs into defensible analytical approaches for stakeholders.
• Deliver actionable intelligence to support human performance optimization and decision-making.
• Collaborate with intelligence, operations, and engineering teams to deploy insights.
• Lead end-to-end analytics initiatives from framing to production delivery.
• Fuse structured and unstructured data sources for robust data products.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and reproducibility in data pipelines.
