Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Junior Biostatistician to collect, engineer, process, and analyze data to support military readiness and operations. The role emphasizes building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with SQL Server and Databricks, creating visual analytics in Power BI, and applying ML techniques to generate actionable insights.

Candidates should have strong data manipulation skills, familiarity with NLP/LLMs, and comfort documenting methodologies while working with cross-functional teams and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL and data wrangling.
• Experience with Databricks and Spark frameworks; Python or R.
• Familiarity with NLP, LLMs, and text data workflows.
• Ability to build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and curated datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy advanced methods to analyze operational data for insights.
• Serve as data/analytic contact across multiple projects and guide stakeholders.
• Analyze data trends and provide operational insights.
• Create KPIs, metrics, and scripts for data segmentation and quality checks.
• Document data sources, transformations, and methodologies.
• Support ad hoc tool development and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate on project communications and strategy implementation.
• Engage in project management activities.
