Job summary

Plaza Tire Service is hiring an entry-level Automotive Technician in Missouri. You’ll perform inspections, maintenance, and basic-to-intermediate repairs, building diagnostic skills alongside experienced techs. Strong mechanical aptitude and training are valued as you move toward advanced technician roles.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years automotive experience in a shop environment or equivalent training.
• Ability to follow written procedures, torque specs, and safety standards.
• Willingness to ask for help, accept coaching, and elevate concerns when appropriate.
• Basic proficiency with shop technology including DVI/MPI tools and scan tools.
• Ability to possess and utilize basic tools required for the role.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR checks.
• State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days where required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform Multi-Point and Digital Vehicle Inspections with documentation per policy.
• Complete maintenance and entry-level repairs including oil, filters, tires, brakes.
• Handle tire mounting/dismounting, balancing, rotations, and related services.
• Perform basic diagnostics with guidance and escalate complex issues.
• Follow repair procedures and post-repair checks; communicate status to managers.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and adhere to PPE/hazardous-waste rules.
• Collaborate with team, participate in training, and take on additional duties.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.

Skills
