Job summary

Plaza Tire Service is seeking an Entry-Level Automotive Technician to join our shop in a full-time role. You will perform inspections, basic maintenance, and entry-level repairs while learning from experienced technicians.

The position offers hands-on training, opportunities for growth, and competitive pay with bonus or commission potential. Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in a shop or technical training, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work weekends.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years automotive experience in a shop or equivalent training.
• Follow procedures, torque specs, and safety standards.
• Willing to ask for help and accept coaching.
• Proficient with DVIs, scan tools, and computerized documentation.
• Valid driver's license and a clean motor-vehicle record.
• State Inspector license or ability to obtain within 30 days if required.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point and digital vehicle inspections per policy.
• Handle maintenance and entry-level repairs: oils, filters, tires, brakes.
• Tire mounting/dismounting, balancing, rotations, wheel wear items.
• Use basic diagnostics and escalate complex issues to senior tech.
• Follow repair procedures and post-repair checks as directed.
• Assist with safety checks and environmental/hazardous-waste rules.
• Communicate findings and repair status to managers and advisors.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and proper tool care.
• Collaborate with team and participate in ongoing training.
