Sun Auto Tire & Service in Missouri is seeking an Entry-Level Automotive Technician. You will perform inspections, maintenance, and basic-to-intermediate repairs while building diagnostic skills alongside experienced technicians. Training and advancement opportunities are emphasized, with a path toward senior and lead roles.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of automotive experience in a shop environment, or equivalent technical training.
• Follow written procedures, torque specifications, and safety standards.
• Willingness to ask for help, accept coaching, and elevate concerns when appropriate.
• Basic proficiency with shop technology, including DVI tools, scan tools, and computerized documentation.
• Possess and utilize basic tools required for the role.
• Valid driver’s license and successful MVR check.
• State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days if required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsabilités

• Perform Multi-Point and Digital Vehicle Inspections, documenting findings, measurements, and photos to company standards.
• Complete maintenance and entry-level repairs—oil and fluids, filters, batteries, tires, brakes, and basic cooling, starting, and charging services.
• Handle tire mounting/dismounting, balancing, rotations, steering/suspension wear‑item replacement, and fluid flushes with oversight.
• Perform basic diagnostics with guidance and escalate complex driveability, electrical, or safety concerns to a senior/lead technician.
• Follow repair procedures, torque specs, bleed procedures, and post‑repair checks; request verification when needed.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable, per guidelines.
• Communicate findings and status to Store Managers and Service Advisors, documenting recommendations.
• Keep a clean, safe work area and follow safety/PPE/environmental rules.
• Collaborate with the team, participate in ongoing training, and take on assigned duties.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
