Job summary

Plaza Tire Service, part of the Sun Auto Network, is hiring an Entry-Level Automotive Technician in Missouri. Earn $20-$27 per hour plus a flag rate, with paid training, benefits, PTO, and opportunities for career advancement within a growing shop.

The role focuses on inspections, maintenance, and basic-to-intermediate repairs, with guidance from experienced technicians and room to grow toward more senior positions.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of automotive shop experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to follow written procedures, torque specs, and safety standards.
• Willingness to ask for help, accept coaching, and escalate concerns when needed.
• Basic proficiency with shop tech tools for documentation and diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license and successful MV… records check.
• State Inspector License where required or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform Multi-Point and Digital Vehicle Inspections per company standards.
• Complete maintenance and entry-level repairs (oil/fluids, filters, tires, brakes).
• Handle tire mounting/dismounting, balancing, rotations, and wear-item replacements.
• Perform basic diagnostics with guidance and escalate complex issues.
• Follow repair procedures, torque specs, bleed procedures, and post-repair checks.
• Conduct inspections in applicable locations per guidelines.
• Communicate findings and repair status to managers and advisors.
• Keep a clean, safe work area and use PPE as required.
• Collaborate with the team and participate in ongoing training.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
