Job summary

Plaza Tire Service is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, and basic-to-intermediate repairs in a busy shop environment.

You will develop skills in diagnostics, tire service, and vehicle inspection while working with experienced technicians. The role offers paid training, benefits, and opportunities for advancement within Sun Auto Tire & Service network.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years automotive shop experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to follow written procedures, torque specs, and safety standards.
• Willingness to ask for help, accept coaching, and escalate concerns when needed.
• Basic proficiency with shop tech and documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform Multi-Point and Digital Vehicle Inspections and document findings.
• Complete maintenance and entry-level repairs (oil, filters, tires, brakes).
• Handle tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and basic suspension wear-item replacements.
• Perform basic diagnostics with guidance and escalate complex issues.
• Follow repair procedures and safety protocols; verify as required by policy.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable.
• Communicate findings and repair status to managers and service advisors.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper PPE use.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
