Job summary

Plaza Tire Service is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician to join our Sun Auto Tire & Service family in a busy shop. You’ll perform inspections, basic maintenance, and entry-level repairs while learning advanced skills from experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years automotive shop experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to follow procedures, torque specs, and safety standards.
• Willingness to ask for help, be coachable, and escalate concerns.
• Basic proficiency with shop tech: DVI tools, scan tools, and documentation systems.
• Must own basic tools for the role.
• Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Records check.
• State Inspector License if required, or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform Multi-Point and Digital Vehicle Inspections and document findings.
• Conduct maintenance and entry-level repairs: oil, filters, tires, brakes, etc.
• Handle tire mounting/dismounting, balancing, rotations, and related wear-item replacements.
• Perform basic diagnostics with guidance and escalate complex issues.
• Follow repair procedures, torque specs, and post-repair checks.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections where allowed.
• Communicate findings and repair status to managers and advisors.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and use PPE.
• Collaborate with team, take coaching, and participate in training.
• Work weekends as needed.
